Suspect Wanted for Breaking into Newark North Ward Cleaners

Newark Police request the public’s help identifying a male suspect wanted in connection with a  burglary at a cleaners that occurred on Saturday, November 5. 

According to Newark Police, at approximately 4:20 p.m., Police responded to Value Act Cleaners, located at 1299 McCarter Highway, on a call of a burglary.

Police say, the suspect used an object to shatter a side door window, entered the establishment, and pried open two registers, stealing $400.00.

The assailant then exited the business through the front door and walked northbound towards Gouverneur Street.

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying the suspect, described as having a light complexion with a thin mustache.

Police said he is approximately 5’10” tall, 150 pounds, and was wearing Nike Air Jordan sneakers.
