Newark Police has issued an alert for suspects wanted for an early morning shooting incident that injured a person in the South Ward.
According to authorities, police are looking for a grey 2016 Mercedes Benz with a reported PA license plate number "LCX-2360". Police believe this vehicle is stolen.
Two suspects reportedly exited the vehicle near 180 West Runyon Street and fired at the victim around midnight, causing injuries.
Police say the injured was transported to University Hospital in an unknown condition while the suspect sped away from the scene.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
