An early morning shooting that occurred in the city's South Ward has police on the scene investigating.
A heavy police response converged in the 60's block of Tillinghast Ave. shortly before 7:30 a.m. where authorities found two people shot and seriously injured at that location.
One of the injured reportedly suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and was rushed to University Hospital in serious condition. The second victim suffered a gunshot wound to the hip.
Police are looking for heavy-set black male seen fleeing the area briefly after the shooting.
The area is sealed off for the investigation.
