Suspect Sought for Breaking into Newark Ironbound Electronics Store

Police in Newark seek the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a business burglary at 156 Ferry Street on Saturday, December 19, 2020.

Police say at approximately 3 a.m., an individual broke into Electronic Discount store and removed various electronic merchandise from the front shelves and glass display case.

The suspect was seen on surveillance camera leaving the store at 3:05 a.m., headed east on Ferry Street, then north on Jackson Street carrying a light colored bag according to police. 

The suspect is described as a tall individual wearing a dark colored hooded coat, dark jeans, dark boots and a face mask.

While detectives investigating this incident are actively searching for this suspect, they seek the public’s help in quickly identifying this individual.
