Sunday Shooting Leaves Juvenile Injured in Plainfield

Police in Plainfield are investigating a shooting that left a juvenile injured Suday night. Plainfield police responded Sunday (July 26, 2015) to the 600 block of West 4th Street shortly after 10 p.m. for numerous reports of shots fired. Patrol units arrived and located a juvenile male suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The juvenile was immediately transport to an area hospital. As of this release, the juvenile has been released from the hospital. A Union County juvenile was subsequently arrested by Plainfield police without incident on the 300 block of Liberty Street on Monday, July 27. The juvenile was transported to the Union County Juvenile Detention Center. This investigation is still ongoing.
