Authorities in the Essex County city of Orange are in investigating a reported carjacking that occurred Friday night.
According to g to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of 433 Lincoln Avenue after receiving reports of a carjacking in progress.
Upon their arrival, they found a delivery person who reported to them that a male suspect approached and motioned as if they had a weapon and demanded the vehicle.
The victim reportedly complied, and the suspect sped away in their silver Ford Focus.
There were no physical injuries reported.
The incident remains under investigation.
