State Police Seeking the Public's Assistance with Identifying Truck Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash

The New Jersey State Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a tractor-trailer that was involved in a crash that killed John Farino, 60, of Cinnaminson, N.J. earlier today.

According to police, at 5:12 a.m., troopers from Bordentown Station responded to Interstate 295 northbound at milepost 45.9 in Westampton Township, Burlington County for the report of a crash involving a Dodge Caravan and a tractor-trailer.

When troopers arrived, they discovered John Farino and his car, but the tractor-trailer departed the scene.

Based on the preliminary investigation, police said John Farino was driving northbound on Interstate 295 when his car was struck in the rear by the tractor-trailer.

As a result of the impact, the Dodge ran off of the road, struck a tree, and overturned.

John Farino sustained fatal injuries as result of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The tractor-trailer is believed to be an older model Peterbilt, which has an elongated front with significant front-end damage.
