A crash that involved a motorcycle on US-46 in Elmwood Park Thursday evening left the motorcyclist dead.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened in the westbound lanes of US-46 near The Garden State Parkway shortly before 5 p.m.
Arriving police and EMS found the severely injured victim laying on the roadway unconscious at that location.
The male victim was pronounced dead at an area hospital according to reports.
The crash caused massive delays due to police closing all lanes for the crash investigation.
There were no other physical injuries immediately reported.
