NJ State Police Arrest Two Men, Seize 5 Pounds of Marijuana at Service Area
Bethlehem Township, N.J. – The New Jersey State Police have arrested Brandon Mr. Anthony Jacabo, 19, of Womelsdorf, P.A. and Mr. Abraham Santana, 21, of Reading, P.A. and seized five pounds of marijuana, valued at $13,000, at the westbound service area on Interstate 78 in Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon County.
According to police, on Sunday, September 1, at 3:42 a.m., Trooper Ross Soares observed a Jeep Grand Cherokee parked in a dark, secluded area of the service area parking lot. As a result, Trooper Soares conducted a well-being check of the vehicle occupants. While interacting with Jacabo and Santana, Trooper Soares discovered marijuana inside the car.
Police say Brandon Anthony Jacabo and Abraham Santana were arrested on scene without incident.
Police say they were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and lodged at the Hunterdon County Jail pending a bail detention hearing.
Charges are mere accusations and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
