Authorities in Bergen County are investigating a violent stabbing encounter that left a male severely injured in Fort Lee Saturday.
The early-morning incident happened shortly before 3:15 a.m. in the 1600 block of Gerome Avenue.
Police were dispatched to the location after headquarters received reports of an aggravated assault in progress.
When cops arrived, they found a male victim suffering life-threatening injuries. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment and listed in critical condition.
The motive for the stabbing and circumstances surrounding the incident is under an active investigation.
No arrests have been officially reported.
