Somerset County Prosecutor Investigates North Plainfield Fire

Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson and North Plainfield police announced an investigation into a residential fire that occurred on Grove Street on Tuesday.

According to a statement released by Prosecutor Robertson, the fire happened at approximately 11:03 a.m. were North Plainfield Fire Department and North Plainfield Police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a residential fire on Grove Street.

Officials said two residents of the structure sustained injuries relating to the fire and were transported to an undisclosed trauma center.

According to Prosecutor Robertson, the residents injured are identified as two adult males with one listed in critical condition after fire reached three-alarms.

Fire companies from Somerset (North Plainfield, Bridgewater/Finderne, Bound Brook, Green Brook, Watchung and Warren), Union (Plainfield), and Middlesex Counties (South Plainfield) responded to extinguish the residential fire.

Emergency Medical Personnel from North Plainfield, JFK Paramedics, Atlantic BLS, and Robert Wood Johnson also responded to the scene to render aid.
