Six Arrested in “Operation Luck Number” Orange Police Illegal Gambling Sting

According to police, on February 12, the Orange Police Department executed a large-scale police operation dubbed "OPERATION LUCKY NUMBERS", as a result of a long-term investigation into illegal lottery schemes out of storefront locations.

Police say six search warrants were executed at:

42 North Center Street

45 North Day Street

49 North Day Street

17 South Center Street

277 William Street

During the raid, police said neatly $18,000 in cash was confiscated with lottery receipts, phones, documents and computers. Six people were arrested and charged in connection with this lottery scheme.

In addition, police said on February 18, the Orange Police Department Street Crimes Gang & Narcotics Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant operation dubbed "OPERATION WEED OUT" as a result of a long-term investigation into illegal narcotics distribution in the area of Scotland Road and Morris Street.

The target of the search warrant - suspected of distributing marijuana and heroin from the second floor of a Scotland Road home - was taken into custody.
