Police recovered several shell casings at the scene of a shooting in Newark's South Ward on Sunday night.
According to police, a ShotSpotter device activated and alerted police of gunfire near 534 Clinton Avenue around 9:10 p.m.
Units arrived and found evidence that a shooting occurred but after police searched the area, no victims were located.
The suspect fled the scene and is at large.
