Police in Newark are investigating a shooting that occurred on a street in the city on Monday night.
According to reports, there were no injuries reported after gunfire rang out in the 200 block of 18th Avenue shortly before 10 p.m.
A ShotSpotter activation alerted police officials of the incident where they arrived at the scene and found evidence that a shooting occurred according to reports.
The motive for the shooting has not been determined.
