There were injuries reported in shots fired incident that occurred in a Newark neighborhood overnight.
Gunfire erupted in the vicinity of Keer Avenue and Leslie Street at approximately 10:15 p.m. sending police and EMS to the South Ward community to investigates.
Units arriving at the scene found a male victims suffering injuries at that location.
Police set up a crime scene where they searched for evidence and possible suspects while EMS transported the ale to University Hospital for treatment.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
