Police in Newark are investigating an incident where a person suffering a gunshot wound entered a Newark South Ward hospital on Tuesday evening.
According to preliminary reports, hospital officials contacted police after the victim entered Beth Israel Hospital suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg at around 5:45 p.m.
Police officials confirmed a crime scene in the 200 block of Schley Street.
There were no arrests reported.
