Police reported non-fatal injuries for a person found shot in a section of Newark's North Ward on Wednesday morning.
It happened near the intersection of Broadway and Verona Avenue around 4:30 a.m.
Police say they found the unidentified male suffering a bullet wound in his leg at that location. The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
The motive for the shooting has not been determined and no arrests were reported.
