Police checked several locations in Asbury Park for a crime scene after a male was dropped at a Neptune City Hospital suffering gunshot injuries.
According to preliminary reports, officials at the Jersey Shore Medical Center contacted police when a male victim entered the emergency department suffering a gunshot injury at approximately 1:30 a.m.
Police believe the victim was picked up by an unidentified driver at Mr. Pizza in Asbury Park who then rushed him to the hospital.
The victim's injuries were not immediately reported as life threatening ing.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. There were no arrests reported.
