Police in Paterson are investigating a shooting that left one person injured overnight in the city.
Officials at the St. Joseph’s Hospital contacted authorities when a the victim entered the emergency department suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound shortly before midnight according to reports.
The victim reportedly told authorities that while driving in the teens block of Chadwick Street, their vehicle came under attack by at least one gunman.
Police searched the Chadwick Street area where they located a crime scene and some property damage reports said.
The incident is under investigation.
There were no arrests reported.
