Newark Police are in the process of determining the location of a shooting that had a man enter an emergency room at a hospital in the city on Friday morning.
According to preliminary reports, the uncooperative victim entered the University Hospital at approximately 4:17 a.m., suffering a non-life threatening bullet wound.
Doctors began treating the victim, but he reportedly would not release much information to police.
It is not clear if the victim was shot after gunfire rang out on West End Avenue on Thursday night.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
