An overnight shooting that erupted in Union City have police investigating.
The shooting happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Bergenline Avenue and 44th Street where police were called to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting with injuries reported.
Arriving officers located the victim suffering injuries after being shot at that location according to reports.
The victim was transported to an area hospital while police searched the area blue BMW with Georgia license plates that was scene leaving the area reports said.
The extent of the victim's injuries have not been released.
Police are investigating a motive for the shooting.
There were no arrests made.
