Newark West Ward Police reported property damage in a shooting incident on Wednesday evening.
According to a preliminary investigation, police responded to several reports of shots fired in the area of 187 Tuxedo Parkway shortly before 8 p.m.
Officers arrived at the scene and found evidence that a shooting occurred, but after they search the Vailsburg neighborhood, no victims were found.
Police say bullets damaged an unoccupied car at that location.
The motive for the shootings under investigation and no suspects have been apprehended.
