Shooting in Trenton Leaves Victim Seriously Injured, Suspect Still at Large

A violent shooting incident in Trenton on Friday night has left one person seriously injured, prompting an ongoing investigation by the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.Ad

The incident happened around 11:20 p.m. when Trenton police were dispatched to investigate reports of shots fired near 7 Eisenhower Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers secured the area, discovering nearly two dozen shell casings strewn across the scene. A ShotSpotter device played a crucial role in alerting the police to the shooting.

Inside the cordoned-off area, police found an unidentified victim with gunshot wounds.

They promptly transported the injured person to a nearby hospital, where they remained in serious condition.

The suspect, believed to be responsible for the shooting, managed to flee the scene and remains at large.

As of now, no further injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.

The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office continues its investigation into this serious matter, seeking information and leads that could assist in identifying and apprehending the suspect.

Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward as they work diligently to ensure the community's safety.
