Authorities in Trenton are investigating a shooting that left two men seriously injured Monday afternoon.

According to preliminary information, police responded at approximately 4:10 p.m. on April 13 to reports of a man shot in the area of 121 South Cook Avenue.
When officers arrived, they located two male victims, ages 20 and 26, near the intersection of South Cook Avenue and Tioga Street.
Both victims were transported to a regional medical center for treatment.
Officials said their injuries were considered serious, though no further updates on their conditions were immediately available.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear as the investigation continues. The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office has been notified and is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
