Mercer County investigators are on the search for a suspect who recklessly fired shots on a street in Trenton that struck one victim on Saturday evening.
According to police, multiple rounds of gunfire erupted in the vicinity of 736 Edgewood Avenue at approximately 11 p.m. where officers arrived at the scene and began to search for injured victims.
Police say, after a canvass of the area, they found a male suffering a gunshot wound to the leg at that location.
The victim was transported to the hospital where doctors treated his injuries then listed him in stable condition. His injuries were not reported as life threatening according to officials.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation by the Trenton Police Departement.
No other injuries were reported.
