Multiple rounds of gunfire rang out in the city's North Ward sending several police units to the scene a short time ago.
An active crime scene is underway in the area of Stone Street and 7th Ave. as police search for shell casings after a vehicle (only described as a dark colored Audi) sprayed the area with gunfire.
The vehicle is possibly occupied by a black male and two Hispanic males that fled the scene.
Several NJ Transit buses was rerouted due to the investigation.
There is no word on injuries at this time.
