Heavy police presence in the 100 block of Walnut Street is for a shooting that has one person suffering fatal injuries at this time.
Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area when they arrived to find one person struck at that location.
This is the possible result of a robbery. Police are looking for a bluish colored van last seen leaving heading the wrong way down McWhorter Street.

UPDATE 11:39 a.m. Police are on the look out for a blue Chrysler minivan with rear tinted windows that may be connected with the shooting.
