NEWARK NJ: Shots fired in the 70's block of South Street sent police to the scene where a male victim was shot and seriously injured.
The victim was transported via private vehicle to University Hospital around 9 p.m. where his condition was reported as "poor"
Detectives from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office are on the scene investigating.
