A crime scene unit was deployed to a reported shooting in the downtown area on Tuesday evening.
The incident, which occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the 20's block of West Kinney near Broad Street, prompted an immediate response from Newark Police.
Upon arrival, Newark's Major Crimes Shooting team, who were first on the scene, discovered no victims.
As of now, the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and detectives are working to piece together the events leading up to the incident.
Despite the search and inquiry, no arrests have been rpeorted in connection with the shooting.
