EMs transported one person to University Hospital for treatment after gunfire rang out in Newark's West Ward Saturday night.
According to police, the victim was found close to the northbound entrance ramp to The Garden State Park -400 block of 14th Avenue- around 8:25 p.m.
Units searched the area for a possible suspect, but there were no arrests reported.
The investigation did not affect traffic on the highway, according to police.
