Police recovered ballistics at the scene of a shooting in a section of Newark's Central Ward on Saturday night.
A ShotSpotter device activated after several rounds of gunfire erupted in the 400 block of Morris Avenue around 8:42 p.m.
Officers canvassed the scene for victims, but no injuries were reported.
The suspect fled the scene and has not been apprehended at this time.
No motive for the shooting has been released.
