Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Police Director Eugene Venable announced today that the Newark Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force are investigating a homicide.
Authorities said last night at approximately 6:53 p.m. Rajab K. Muhammad, 30, of Edison, was fatally shot in the 300 block of Littleton Avenue in Newark. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:16 pm.
The investigation is continuing. There have been no arrests have been made.
