There is an active investigation, and a search for the suspect wanted for a shooting that sent a woman and one other person to the hospital overnight in Jersey City.
According to preliminary reports, reports of shots fired sent police to the area of Wade Street and Ocean Avenue at around 10:15 p.m. where officers arrived to find a woman suffering a gunshot wound to the buttocks.
A search of the area for evidence and additional victims had police locate a male suffering an apparent gunshot injury about a block away reports said.
Both of the victims were transported to Jersey City Medical Center and are expected to survive.
The motive for the shooting has not been determined at this time.
