A shooting that sent three people to the hospital overnight is under investigation in Jersey City.
Officials at the Jersey City Medical Center contacted authorities when two victims suffering apparent gunshot injuries entered the hospital's emergency department at around 11:15 p.m.
The victims told authorities that the shooting occurred in the area of Old Bergen Road shortly before they arrived to the hospital.
Police canvased the area searching for a crime scene when officers came across a third victim who was suffering injury from gunfire in the single digit block of New Hope Lane.
The shooting victim was transported by EMS to the hospital where none of the injured suffered life threatening injuries according to initial reports.
The Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating a motive behind the shootings and their possible connection to each other.
