There is an investigation underway into a shooting that occurred this evening in the Newark's West Ward.
Gunfire rang out before 6:30 p.m. at the Bradley Court Housing Project located in the 50's block of North Munn Avenue sending police to the scene where after a brief search, they found a teen boy struck by gunfire at that location.
The victim reportedly suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg when EMS made the transport to University Hospital according to reports.
Police set up a crime scene around the complex where they searched for evidence. Witnesses said two black males were observed running from the scene immediately after the shooting.
There were no reports of arrests.
