Passaic County authorities are investigating a shooting that injured a person in Passaic on Sunday night.
According to Passaic Police officials, gunfire rang out in the 100 block of 5th Street at approximately 9:40 p.m. Sunday.
Officers arrived at the scene found the unidentified victim suffering bullet wounds in the stomach and leg according to police.
EMS rushed the injured to St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson for treatment and remains in serious condition.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting at this time.
