A late night shooting in Newark has police searching for a gunmen this morning.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the area of Bergen and 16th Ave. at around 10 p.m. where they found a male victim suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
The victim reported to police that the shooting happened somewhere near Bergen Street and Rose Street.
The victim is expected to survive his injury.
There were no arrest reported.
In an unrelated incident, a shooting that happened in the 30's block of Lenox Street had police on the scene at around 1 a.m. where several shell casings were found.
Police issued a look out for a dark colored Nissan Maxima that was occupied by two black males tha was seen leaving the area immediately after the shooting.
There were no injuries.
