A 23-year-old man suffering a gunshot injury in the city is being transported to Jersey City Medical Center at this time.
Police responded to the area of Martin Luther King and Oak Street at around 10:35 a.m. after recieving reports of a person injured by gunfire at that location.
Arriving units found the victim - a 23-year-old East Orange man - suffering from with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the thigh according to reports.
There are no reports of suspects arrested or an exact location for the shooting. The victim is reportedly uncooperative.
Police are investigating.
