Police in Newark are investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital last night.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the 300 block of Fairmont Avenue at around 10 p.m. where officers arrived to find a male victim suffering injury from gunfire.
The victim was transported to University Hospital where he is in stable condition authorities said.
The motive the for the shooting is under investigation.
Detectives are actively pursuing leads in the shooting according to authorities.
