Elizabeth Police are investigating a shooting incident that injured a person Thursday evening.
It happened before 8:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Centre Street.
Police were dispatched to the area after headquarters received reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering a non-life threatening bullet wound in the foot.
The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
Authorities have not released the motive for the shooting.
