Shooting in Area of East 25th Street, 15th Avenue in Paterson

Passaic County officials announce that at approximately 8:20 p.m. on March 14, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of East 25th Street and 15th Avenue in Paterson on a report of shots fired. 

According to county officials, upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene and a 27-year-old male Paterson resident who had sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound. 

County officials said that the victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

Based on the preliminary investigation, the victim was in a motor vehicle near the intersection of East 25th Street and 15th Avenue in Paterson when he was struck by gunfire.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
