Police reported no injuries in a shots-fired incident in Paterson on Wednesday morning.
Authorities say a shooter fired several rounds of bullets in the area of River Street and 1st Avenue shortly before 3:25 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found shell casing, but a search of the area did not indicate any victims.
Police say the suspect fled the scene and has not been captured.
The motive behind the shooting has not been determined.
