Police in Newark are looking for the suspect responsible for a shots-fired incident in Newark's Central Ward Sunday afternoon.
A ShotSpotter device activated and alerted police of gunfire near 361 Bergen Street around 6:15 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located shell casings in the parking lot of Walgreens, but police say no victims were found.
According to witnesses, a black male who wore all black fired shots at unknown targets before fleeing the scene towards The Home Depot.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
