Shell Casings Recoverd in Newark South Ward Shooting
There were no reported injuries in a shots-fired incident that occurred in a section of Newark's South Ward.
According to police, residents in the 100 block of Shephard Avenue dialed 911 after hearing what they thought were gunshot around 10:05 p.m.
Units arrived and taped off the area after finding three shell casings, but after a search of the neighborhood, no victims were found.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and the suspect remains at-large.
