Police closed a portion of NJ-15 to traffic after a pedestrian was struck by a car in Jefferson Sunday morning.
According to police, it happened at approximately 2 a.m. in the southbound lanes of NJ-15 near Berkshire Valley Road, where officers found the severely injured unidentified person lying on the ground after a vehicle struck them at that location.
Police say the victim received medical attention and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The incident is under investigation.
