Officials in Hudson County are investigating a pedestrian strike that caused severe injuries on a road in Kearny Sunday morning.
According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 12:15 a.m., police were notified of a person down in the northbound lanes of Lincoln Highway.
Upon arrival, police found a seriously injured unconscious person on the ground after a vehicle struck them at that location.
Police say the victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment while officers closed several lanes for the investigation.
