Several Residents Displaced After Dover House Fire

A house fire that appears to have been sparked in the living room kitchen area of the second floor has approximately 20 people displaced.

The fire which started at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the wall of a living room/kitchen area on the second floor of the 5-family home, quickly spread to the Thompson Avenue home's attic.  

All the residents escaped unharmed, according to officials. However, two firefighters were treated and released at the scene after sustaining minor injuries.

The fire was placed under control after about an hour.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but it does not appear suspicious in nature at this time.

The home was deemed uninhabitable, leaving approximately 20 displaced.
