Monmouth County authorities are searching for several suspects who participated in a wild gun battle that erupted on a street in Neptune Township on Friday evening.
According to authorities, police responded to shots fired that rang out in the area of 12 Hillview Drive at approximately 6 p.m.
Officials say units arrived at the scene and found that bullets struck about three homes on the street, but after officers completed an extensive search for the area, no victims were located.
According to police, suspects exited a red vehicle and began to engage in a shoot out before getting back into the car and speeding from the scene.
Police said the investigation into the motive for the shooting is in its early stages.
No arrests were reported.
