Seven Injured in School Bus Crash in Bridgewater

A school bus crash on US 22 East Wednesday afternoon, sent as many as seven to an area hospital, according to police.

Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 22 East in the area of Buffalo Wild Wings, Wednesday, (Nov. 11) at approximately 3:19 p.m.

Upon arrival, police found two vehicles involved in a crash, a Mazda MZ 6 driven by Bhavesh Chauhan of Piscataway and a compact school bus - registered to Transportation Inc. from Monmouth Junction - driven by Kevin White of Somerset.

Chauhan’s vehicle had two passengers. Chauhan and his passengers were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset for minor injuries.

The school bus was transporting four students from the Midland School and those students were all transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset for minor injuries.

The crash is still under investigation by the Bridgewater Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau.
