Emergency responders are on the scene of a pedestrian strike with severe injuries reported on a highway in Woodbridge Township at this time.
At approximately 6:30 a.m., police closed all lanes on Route 1&9 after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle just south of Randolph Avenue.
The unidentified person was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson Medical center for treatment and is reportedly in critical condition.
An accident investigation unit was called to the scene to identify the cause of the crash.
Woodbridge Police will lead the investigation.
